Trades we source
Medium-voltage technicians.
Medium-voltage work is one of the hardest specialties to staff on a mission-critical build. A general electrician with a few MV terminations is not the same as a technician who has set, tested and energized switchgear.
Typical scope
What this role usually covers on mission-critical projects.
- MV cable splicing and terminations
- Switchgear and transformer installation and service
- Acceptance testing support alongside testing firms
- Lockout/tagout and switching procedures
- Energization and commissioning support
What we screen for
The questions we ask before anyone reaches your shortlist.
- Voltage classes actually worked (for example 15 kV or 35 kV), not just exposure
- Switchgear manufacturers and equipment types handled
- Testing experience, and whether it was hands-on or observation
- Splicing and termination certifications from cable or kit manufacturers
- Safety record and switching qualifications
Credentials
Commonly requested.
Requirements vary by project, owner and jurisdiction. Tell us yours in the request and we screen for exactly that. Anything a candidate reports stays labelled self-reported until we verify it against a document or an authoritative source.
- NFPA 70E training
- Manufacturer splicing or termination certifications
- NETA certification for testing roles
- OSHA 30
